You shouldn't need a degree to work your own printer.
Gippsland Tech Solutions is local IT support and website design, run out of Heyfield. Computers, Wi-Fi, printers, smart TVs, websites — sorted in plain English, at your kitchen table or your shop counter.

Out your way most days
Describe it however it comes out. I'll work out what it is.
Nobody rings up asking for "endpoint remediation". They ring up because something that worked yesterday doesn't work today. These are real, and all of them are fixable.
The internet drops out down the back of the house.Usually the modem's in the wrong spot. Mesh or a repeater fixes it in one visit.
It keeps saying the printer's offline.Nine times out of ten it's a dropped Wi-Fi profile. Quick job once I'm there.
I got an email about my account. Is it real?Don't click anything. Forward it to me and I'll tell you what it is.
The laptop takes ten minutes to start up.A clean-up and an SSD will usually save you buying a new one.
We've got a new EFTPOS setup and nothing lines up.I do Square catalogues and point-of-sale tidy-ups for local shops and vans.
Our website's about four years out of date. That's the other half of what I do. Have a look further down.
Not sure which one you've got? Describe it when you ring and I'll tell you what's likely wrong and what it'll cost before I come out.
Heyfield's the base. Most of the valley's inside half an hour.
No metro rates, no waiting a fortnight for a technician out of Melbourne. I cover Heyfield, Cowwarr, Glenmaggie, Tinamba, Toongabbie, Rosedale, Maffra, Stratford, Sale and Briagolong. If you're on this chart, I can usually be there this week — often the same day for something that's stopped a business trading.
Drive times are approximate, measured from Heyfield.
Further afield by arrangement — just ask.

Five things I get called about most.
Computer repairs, Wi-Fi and internet setup, printers, smart home installs and website design — on site across central Gippsland.
Computers & laptops
Slow machines, new setups, data moved across, backups that actually run, Windows that won't behave.
Wi-Fi & internet
Black spots, dropouts, NBN and Starlink setups, mesh through brick and weatherboard, sheds included.
Printers & devices
Scanners, phones, tablets, that one printer nobody can talk to. Set up properly so it stays set up.
Smart home & streaming
TVs, Chromecast, Alexa, cameras, doorbells. Set up once, explained properly, written down if you like.
Websites & digital
New sites, rescues of old ones, Google listings, online ordering, business email that doesn't bounce.
How a callout actually goes.
You ring or message
Describe it however makes sense to you. "It's doing the thing again" is a perfectly good starting point.
You get a straight answer
I'll tell you what's likely wrong and roughly what it'll cost, so there are no surprises when I turn up.
I come out and fix it
Most jobs are done on the spot. If a part's needed I'll say so before I order anything.
You know what happened
A short plain-English note on what was wrong and what to do if it happens again. No mystery invoices.
There's no call centre. There's just me.
Twenty years in hospitality taught me how to talk to people. That's most of this job.
I'm George. Fifteen years in Heyfield. Restaurants and bars before that, including five years at the local pub, then computer and phone repairs.
I've been into tech since I was a kid, but it was the repair shop that showed me what the real problem was. It usually wasn't the hardware. It was people being talked down to, or sold something they didn't need, by someone who couldn't be bothered explaining what had actually gone wrong.
I started Gippsland Tech Solutions to be around more for my family, and to do the job the other way round. Which sometimes means telling you not to spend the money. Everyone I work for is someone I'll run into again.

Websites for Gippsland businesses, built one at a time.
Not templates with your logo dropped in. Every site starts with your photos, your prices and the way you actually talk to customers — then gets built to load fast on a phone with one bar of signal.

The van was running on a stock Square Online storefront: a logo floating in a black box, one line of text, an Order Now button and a map big enough to swallow the page. Nothing to look at, and nothing that told you what they actually sell.
The rebuild puts the food first — real photos, the full menu with prices, fan favourites up top, and the hours, phone number and Google rating right in the hero. It still runs off the same Square catalogue they already keep up to date, so there's no second menu to maintain.
- OrderingWired into their live Square catalogue — no second menu to keep
- In the vanKitchen display, orders arrive as they're placed
- Built forOne hand, one bar of signal, in a queue
- Menu updatesChanged once in Square, live on the site straight away
Yours could be next. Tell me what your current site does badly — slow, hard to update, invisible on Google — and I'll show you exactly what I'd change before you spend anything.
What it costs, before you ring.
You'll get a number up front. If a job turns out to be smaller than expected, you pay the smaller number.
- Flat rate for any town on the list — no separate callout fee
- $90 an hour after that. Most jobs are done inside the hour
- Business and after-hours by arrangement
- Custom design, not a template
- Copy, photos and Google listing sorted
- Fast on a bad phone connection
Rather spread it out? Subscription builds start at $119 a month, covering the build, hosting, updates and changes whenever you need them.
No need to get the words right.
Tell me what's happening, in your own words. I'll figure out what it actually is — usually back to you the same day.
That's come through.
I'll get back to you today if I can. If it can't wait, ring me on 0493 275 681.
